Ombre Hair

Kids these days are doing insane things to their heads. Dying the tips crazy colors like purple, pink, green, etc…Shaving a portion of their head, (which I think is a pretty cool look if you can pull it off, my Fashion Design teacher actually has that ‘do and rocks it,) but a look that I especially like is the ombre style.

So, I decided to get it done myself. I got it done about a month ago, and after looking at it every day I’ve decided I want to go more extreme with it. I wanted to play it safe at first in case I really didn’t like it or the lady at the salon really screwed it up. I probably want to make the blonde go higher up a couple of inches. I’ll keep you updated.

Here’s when I first got it done:

Getting it fixed up this weekend. Cannot wait. It’s a simple but very cool look. Also very temporary; if you really don’t like it or get sick of it, let your hair grow out a little and then cut it off. Easy peasy! I love it though, even if my mother hates it.

Meet…Tallulah

My pride and joy. The fattest skank you’ll ever need in your life. My parents originally got me Tallulah because they felt bad that they were sending me to all-girls school, (that’s another story,) and now she’s like the annoying little sister who needs constant attention or she’ll bite you until you pet her.

I woke up to this one night at about three in the morning. She’s a creep.

She loves me, I swear.

Toes Done Up With The Fingah-nails Matchin’

Ever since getting acrylic nails a few years ago, I have become obsessed with my fingernails and making sure they always look POIFECT. Due to an unfortunate door slamming incident that ended in my friend accidentally breaking off three of my nails, I had to get my acrylics taken off and was afraid to get them back on again…until yesterday.

Here are the before and after pictures of said incident…

After a long healing process, these bad girls are back and I haven’t been more excited or felt more like a prostitute.

Lately I’ve noticed nail art is getting to be a huge thing. Girls are more into their nails, getting those “non-chip” manicures that chip after two seconds. There are a lot more styles, shapes, and things to do with your nails, even charms! Anyway, I love doing cool things with my nails and seeing what others can do. I wish I had less trembly hands so I could actually draw something cool on my nails, but lots of glitter and sparkle will do for me…for now.

Here are a few of my little experiments…

^(my nails now!)^

The guy who did my nails said that I didn’t need no ornaments on my Christmas tree because my nails were bright enough. He also laughed at them. He did not approve. I do what I want.

Rumi of FashionToast

This girl is the star of my single-favorite fashion blog, Fashion Toast. Her style is perfect, lots of rings, cheetah prints, little bit of grunge, punk, but always looks put-together and polished. Not to mention, her shoes are always perfect…If I were a lot richer and a little bit skinnier, I would wear everything she owns. Check out her blog at www.fashiontoast.com

Matthew Williamson RTW Fall 2011

I have always loved tassles, and love the first dress; a little flapper update for 2011. Wedges and ankle socks are seen all over the runways and those are two of my most favorite statements. I’m glad to see the mini dress isn’t out of style yet, I think I’d be lost without all my minis…I especially adore the jackets in this collection; the pattern mixed with different types of fur-I want it to be fall again!

Jeremy Scott RTW Fall 2011

Jeremy Scott…what else can I say? Always surprising, always fun, always Jeremy Scott. I seriously want that pink skeleton sweater-dress.

Derek Lam RTW Fall 2011

Leather, fur, and so many interesting silhouettes! I love this line by Derek Lam, especially the black dress. All these looks look low-maintenance but still very fashionable. And we’re seeing a lot more pants with wider legs for next season…interesting. Just when I got super into my skinny jeans…

Dallin Chase RTW Fall 2011

I had never heard of Dallin Chase until the designs caught my eye on WWD. I love the combinations of colors, styles, and of course, the animal prints. Flirty skirts and tops, structured jackets and coats, and lots of ankle socks. I’d wear any of these outfits any day.

Alexander Wang RTW Fall 2011

Alexander Wang’s collection, as usual, experiments with structure and shapes. Fur, leather, zippers, oh my! Wang never fails to make comfortable look chic.
